Why we made Intimacy Serum
The name
Intimacy means: into me, you see.
That's Dr. Jeshana Avent-Johnson's definition, from the session on the record. Self-disclosure is the psychological term for revealing your authentic self, to someone else and to you. We named the serum after the practice, not the outcome. The bottle asks the question: what do I feel when I touch myself?
The room
Eight people on the record, still refining it after launch.
Six months after the serum shipped, we ran an experts panel: our clinical psychologist, our formulator, an LGBTQ+ sexuality therapist whose practice includes dysphoria-aware affirming touch, sex educator Tanya Bass, and a designer who said the line we kept: to even have a self to reveal, you have to work within. We didn't launch with the language finished. The room finished it.
The formula
Built from scratch, when we could have bought the shelf formula.
Our formulator told that panel that nearly every intimacy product on US shelves comes from a small handful of stock formulas. Ours isn't one of them. Copaiba, arnica, schisandra, safflower. Four botanicals from four traditions, an adaptogen in a topical intimacy serum, and the only scent is a natural grapefruit extract.

Two tracks to launch
The Junior Advisory Board runs its own Self Disclosure panel in September, in parallel with the clinical track. The serum ships October 13.
- 2022
The language keeps evolving
April: the eight-voice experts panel. The advisors test the product themselves and trade frames on the record. The concept wasn't frozen at launch, and the panel is why the page reads the way it does.

I came in two minutes. And my cuticles are amazing.
This serum really does warm to the touch, and my privates felt so relaxed and it felt so good for once to touch myself, I came in two minutes from masturbating. It Did The Job Nothing Else Could!
I’ve had the Intimacy Serum for a while and I’ve used it from time to time on different parts of my body, but recently I started suffering from an eczema flare up on the backs of my hands. While I don’t really use this oil for its intended use, I’ve really enjoyed using it. If anything, I’d wish it would come in a larger bottle. I often use it to moisturize my body after getting out of the shower. The scent is very pleasant, yet subtle so it’s not over-bearing. It’s perfect to use at the end of the day when winding down.
