About selfmade
- What is psychodermatology?
- Psychodermatology studies the connection between the skin, the nervous system, and emotional state. It regards skin as part of the body's stress-response system, not just a surface.
- Who is selfmade for?
- Anyone whose skin reacts to stress. Anyone tired of being sold shame. Built with — not for — BIPOC, Gen Z, and neurodivergent humans, because that's who's in the room.
- Where is selfmade made?
- Formulated and manufactured in the USA in solar-powered facilities. Cold-processed formulas. European-sourced sustainable glass.
Products + ingredients
- Are products vegan and cruelty-free?
- 100% vegan and cruelty-free across the line. No hormone interruptors, microplastics, or gluten.
- Is the science real?
- Our formulas trace to 22 peer-reviewed papers and five years of sessions with named mental-health and formulation experts. Per-product testing details live on each product page; the full reference list is available on request.
- Can I use selfmade with my prescription?
- Designed to layer with most routines. For anything prescription-strength or a condition you're treating, check with your dermatologist first — we're one part of your support system, not a replacement for it.
Shipping + subscriptions
- Where do you ship?
- US-only at launch. 4–10 business days standard. International is a v2 question.
- Is there a membership or subscription?
- Not one you can buy. Every product is $28 with free US shipping, and any purchase makes you a selfmade Original — no fee, no gate, nothing to sign. Originals hold the key to the Lounge's backroom as it opens. If you want refills, tick 'Add refills' on anything in your tote and it auto-ships every 3 months — change or cancel anytime by email, no minimum.
- What's a Founding Original?
- Anyone who bought from selfmade between 2020 and 2025 — before anyone was talking about it. Founding Originals hold their standing for life: anything we ever charge for membership, they have free, forever. Sign in with the email you used back then; if your standing doesn't show, write to hello@selfmade.skin and we'll set it right.
- Can I return a product?
- 21-day window per our returns policy. Reach out at hello@selfmade.skin.
